She played Jamie Buchman on "Mad About You" from 1992 to 1999 and the opinionated Carol Connelly in the 1997 film "As Good As It Gets," but actress Helen Hunt has stayed below the radar in Hollywood for quite some time now. Hunt won the Academy Award for best actress in 1998 for her "As Good As It Gets" role. She also starred in "What Women Want" opposite Mel Gibson in 2000, and appeared in a small role as Samantha Stevens in the 2006 film "Bobby." She currently owns a production company called Hunt/Tavel Productions under Sony Pictures Entertainment.
